Deepdene Uniting is a group of Christians from Australia, Korea and other nations. We create community across languages and cultures, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Ministry & Worship
Minister: Rev (Mr) Gi Won Kang
Gi Won grew up in Korea and moved to Australia in 2000 with his wife Jinseon. Jinseon is also a Minister in the Uniting Church. Before joining us at Deepdene, Gi Won served in a Korean-speaking congregation in Hobart; and as a Presbytery Minister in the Shepparton area.
Morning worship services are spoken in both English and Korean. The sermon usually is spoken in alternating languages week to week. The other language is shown on the screen.
Hymns are sung in both languages when possible.

Stuart has a long background of teaching music in primary and secondary schools, both in Government and Independent education. Stuart has played for Deepdene since ?2012? Our organ is a ...
Stuart also directs the University of the Third Age Deepdene Choir, which practises in our Hall every Monday in U3A term time.
Choir leader: Ms Sunnie Lyew
Sunnie has led the choir at Deepdene since 2009. She is passionate about her Christian life and music is an important expression of this for her. Our small choir sings every week. They would welcome new members.
Sunday School: Mrs Joan Cooper, Mr Anthony Cooper, Ms Jennifer Wendelken-HAN Jeong-Hyun, Ms Baeyi Kim
Sunday School runs for primary aged children during the service, except for the first Sunday each month. On the first Sunday, a Children's Talk is included in worship. On the third Sunday, Jennifer-Jeong-Hyun and Baeyi take Sunday School in Korean.
Child safety is our priority:
All leaders, Church Councillors and Sunday School teachers maintain a Working with Children Check. Children are supervised in groups, with more than one adult. Parents are always welcome.
Children are encouraged to say what they think, and to enjoy their time at church.
